Study the reviews below and mine and you'll immediately start to see that Northen Lights Apt is starting to let itself go FAST. The pools they promised to fix and update were down all SUMMER. Loks like it will be another Summer without a swimming pool The trees are dying, during the spring and summer they didn't trim any edges, and let grass and weeds grow out of control. Hence the Snow of "08" The parking lot is pretty much a stand still, they didnt snow the pavement and parking lot. I've never lived in a place that when it snowed the Apt Mgmt didn't do anything. There only response to me asking them can they shovel some snow so tenants can get there car out was " we're not use to snow ." I was proud of this place when I moved here. The people are nice, the ladies are nice. BUT nice doesn't cut it. Somethings happening and Northern lights is suffering as a result. I will not be renewing my lease. The company rejected Fios Verizon digging, which means we're stuck with Comcast cable. It serves everyone in the community to have two high speed internet companies bidding for the residents business. Without Fios in Northern Lights, cable bill aren't going down.

are you kidding me, the trees are not dying, and the management has done what they can with what they have, and its not there responsability to get your car moving, I see you are the type of person that complains just to complain, they are rebuilding a lot of things around here to make your life better, you know what i read when i looked at your review, i saw a 10 year old child complaining because it wants everything in life handed to them, get a life, people like you need to be in a trailer park somewhere married to their sister, im glad your not reniewing your lease, we dont need people with no sence of pride or lazy folks, go ahead leave but at the next place pay your rent before you complain, i hate worthless people that complain just to complain. I Have lived here for a long time now and the bs you wrote in this review in nothing short of slander. go away and stay gone.

Tusk.
You said: "its not there responsability to get your car moving". If the parking lot isn't driveable [whether pot holes, mud slide, snow, cracks, power lines down, etc], who's responsibility is it?
A. Northern Lights - Yes
B. A tenant - No
Northern Lights had the means and man power to clear the parking lot because 3 or 4 days after the snow the maintenance people used the tractor to clear it. However, before the tractor, I know of two neighbors that missed a day or more of work due to the snow. Not because of the roads, but because of the apartment parking lot.
I helped push 3 cars that were stuck in the snow in the parking lot - people I didn't know. I have pride in this community. I know you do, too.
You are paying for two swimming pools that haven't been working since before the last summer. This is a cost you pay for living here.
It is correct that the trees are dying. It's the small trees out front of many apartments [typically 8 to 10 feet high reaching the bottom of the 2nd story decks]. A company that sprayed them used the wrong chemical which burned them. They were charred black for months after it first happened about a year ago. I know you remember that since you've lived here a while.
The entire area in sight of my apartment did not get trimmed last summer and weeds ran rampant.
I have to say that the staff here are FANTASTIC!! I love them and they always remember my name and I know they genuinely care about me as a tenant.
These are quotes from your message:
"get a life"
"i saw a 10 year old child complaining because it wants everything in life handed to them"
"people like you need to be in a trailer park somewhere married to their sister"
"go ahead leave but at the next place pay your rent before you complain" - how can you even begin to claim to know the rental history of someone you don't know, Tusk?!?!
Yes, the management has done what they can with what they have. I agree with you. These are tough economic times for many folk.
I love living here. But uninformed insults do not change the facts. I will be staying with Northern Lights. However, the issues are real, Tusk.

This is an update from their post back in January:

They added some new complaints but it's just the some drivel. Congrats to whoever does this? No.
I still live at Northern Lights and it's a nice place to live.

No matter how much you argue at the facts they will forever remain the truth. Tough economic times, many of the issue started waaaaaaaaaaaay before so-called tough economic times. It makes no since for a Apt mgmt to not shovel the snow for a week, which prevents people from going to work. No work, no rent! Go figure. I don't blame them for the trees dying I blame mgmt for taking to long to respond to the trees dying. What's up with that? Crackling tennis court? what's up with the rusty degrading fence that surrounds the tennis court> My belief is when you cut the grass you also trim the edges, near the mgmt office the grass and edges look fine, not around the back areas of the residential building. Weeds grow and look horrible. The people in the Mgmt office are nice, heck they're freaking hot! But management is management and slow response is slow response. Do you know how many clear sunny days I've seen so far where no one is working on the swimming pools. It's now May and that swimming pool by the leasing office looks the same as it did last year.
