I have lived there for a year and a half. I would have stayed for a bit longer had not my work have taken me elsewhere.
There are pros and cons of living in Anchor Village.
Pros:
Neighbors Keep To Self
Excellent Neighborhood and City
Near Great Parks and Beach
Good Security and Police Force
Pretty Inexpensive
Cons:
No Celluar Coverage
Very Cold and Moldy
Little Parking
Bad Office Service
Things Break Easy
Basically, for me the pros outweighed the cons. It's a good place if you are single or if you just have one kid. It's no "home" but it's a pretty wealthy city. Recommend for first time renter, not for family.
