i have lived here for almost 3 years and I love the area its quiet lots of othere little kids for my kids to play with but when we signed the lease there was a waiver that we signed stating that if any mold occured we were reponsible and they reassured us that there was no mold and that the mgmt. co. was out of california and they had mold issues and not this property. we moved in and it was all good for about 2 weeks and then the mold and mildew came. i have 3 different colors of mildew in the bathroom alone. the window sills are permantly black due to mildew and I believe its all because they have aluminum windows.under the bed you can smell mildew. and the closets collect mold on the walls. anytime it gets cold or muggy the windows 'weep' the condinsation is uncontrollable unless you put towels in all the sills and it makes for a very ugly look. and because we signed the paper in the lease we are responsible for nature. personally i like everything about the apartment but the apartment itself. there is NO storage whatsoever and the washer and dryers are in the smaller of the 2 bedrooms. so if you have kids there is no doin laundry at night. the bathroom is a joke its so small you can wash you hands be on the toilet and take a shower at the same time. so if you like space clean air and vinel windows dont move here. Oh and every year they raised our rent the last itme it was an $87 price hike with no prior notice.

i so agree ive been here 4 years and i hate the window mildew problem. its a pain in the ass to keep clean in winter. im wiping water off my window sill everyday. i hate having such a small bathroom. and the office staff is so rude once you become a tenant. they were great and so nice when i first moved in now they treat me awful. i never complain about anything but when something does breakdown and i call they are rude about it. maintenance crew is nice and awesome.

Yes the mold problem haunts us again this winter. I can understand a little bathroom mold from steamy showers, but, not all my windows. I even get mold on the window next to my front door. I can't keep my apartment home here at Anchor Village warm and not have an infestation of mold.

Glad I read this, I was thinking of going and looking at what is available right now. But, I have already lived somewhere that mildew grew under the bed and in the closets....not dealing with that again!
