This place is now called the Alara Harbour Pointe. We unfortunately moved in May of 2008. This is one of the worst apartments I have ever stayed in. The first day we moved in, our unit did not have the smoke detectors installed. They were in the freezer!( I swear, why would I make up something so ridiculous') After notiflying the office, I was told that the parts were on order. Not sure if that is legal, but to this day, we still do not have smoke detectors in our unit.
Walls are thin as paper, I can hear my neighbor pee!!! Every dog yelps- and they are not the small dogs, these dogs are huge and should not be allowed in this apartments complex( because there is no lawn for the dogs to go on..)

And the best part is the lack of snow removal. The office closed down for four days with a sign stating that due to weather, it will be closed. As I look in, the maintance guy, who is supposed to be clearing our walkways ,is drinking beer while he his babysitting his kids! People cannot go to work because the snow is over 2 feet thick and no one has even bothered to clear it. We have lived in Colorado and Virginia where the snow is much worse, and the complexs always are plowed and/or atleast have everyone's walkway shoveled. The steps are covered in ice and snow. We asked the maintainance guy if they had any rock salt to lay in our part of the complex ( the north side, which gets NO SUN) and he said if we had some rock salt, feel free to throw some on the ground because they didn't have any. We have walked to the store for the past few days, because we cannot get our car out. This complex has several hills and the entrance is a very steep hill, that even when dry, is hard to get up and out. It has been covered in a sheet of ice for over a week now. No one has been out here shoveling. This poor older gentleman in our building has a shovel and he shoveled our walkway.
It also seems that we got a handicap unit with no drawers or shelves and the bimbos in the front office never said anything! I am serious, we have no drawers or cabinets in the bathroom. I have one drawer in the kitchen to put silverware in.

The people here are shady and I swear a crack/meth operation is going on in one of the garages. There has been alot of police activity,(matter of fact, today 3 cruisers were sending in dogs in an apartment not far from our unit) We are giving notice Jan 1, 2008. For some reason , in the state of Washington, you must give notice by the 10th of the month, to be out at then end of the month. When you are looking for an apartment, make sure you ask what they do as far as snow removal for the property, We will certainly ask this at our next place.

This place is WAY overpriced. Our apartment is 562 sq ft and is 950.00 a month. And, one more thing, Mukilteo sucks. Washington state is very overrated- The people are VERY weird and extremely unattractive/scary. Worst experience of our lives.

I lived there for 4 years when it was "Archstone" and never had the experiences you've gone through. I drove by a few months ago, and stopped in at the office with my gentle, kind, quiet and friendly dog, for a milk-bone. Of course there were no bones, and my dog was NOT welcome either. The office has been completely overhauled, and is now an ice cold, crispy, unfriendly place, with the staff to match. When I lived here, it was actually fun to go and pay my rent - as the staff was friendly, and we were both welcomed with smiles and coffee, cookies, and of course milk-bones. Not that any of that is necessary, just that it goes a long way toward good relations between management and tenants. When I stopped by a bit ago with my dog, I was stunned at the change, and then ushered out quickly. Maybe the new management needs better pay, or better benefits, because they were very unhappy to be there, and even more unhappy that I was there. Sorry You've had such a bad time. Not all of Mukilteo and Washington are filled with unattractive/scary people. You see what you look for. Try looking for the good in people, and they will show it to you.
