The property was great when it was owned and managed by Archstone but once the new management took over the place went downhill. We always paid our rent on time and in full but 3 times we received notices saying we had not paid the full amount. Twice I spoke with them about the issue and twice I was told that they knew what the problem was and that it would be fixed, obviously that was not true since we received a third notice. I had my proof that the checks were cashed for the full amount so I stopped wasting my time speaking to them about it. When we wanted a storage unit it took them 30 days to give us one and by then I decided I didn't want it anymore. I could see that there was a storage unit available across from where I lived because the door was open and it had one small thing in it. When I kept requesting one management would tell me they had to clear one out because it had previous tenants belongings in it then they said it had previous maintenance items in it then they said it had to be cleaned and finally the last excuse was that they needed to make copy of the keys. When it came to maintenance requests I had to frequently ask when someone was going to come and fix the stuff I requested. Once I was told that someone would come that same day and not only did they not come but they didn't come the next two days either, so I went to the office with my request in writing and had the manger sign that she has received the request and one of the maintenance men came a few minutes after I made it back to my apartment. The next time I had a maintenance request I assumed I would not have to go through that again but I was wrong, I had to keep calling and at first the maintenance man went to the wrong apartment because it was not written down correctly. My suggestion is to keep records of everything because it is obvious that they do not do good record keeping.
