I moved into OTG in late 6/03 and I am in the process now of breaking my lease to get away as soon as I can.



****WARNING-- What they will not tell you when you move in is that THEY SUPPORT SECTION 8 HOUSING**** IF I had known this simple fact when I was interested in moving here- I would NOT have even considered it. I am disgusted and frightened by the quality of some of the people I encounter and see on a daily basis.



The apartments themselves may appear nice and modern but they lack severely in insulation making it ridiculously cold and noisy. I can hear my neighbors pee from my bedroom (through my laundry closet and bathroom) and the ungodly noises of whatever else he is doing in there every morning and late night =/



Since August, both my car and my boyfriend?s car have been broken into (along with many others) and had a lot of stereo equipment stolen-- WITHIN MERE FEET OF THE LEASING OFFICE! They say that hey have security "all of the time" but I have only seen the cheap-excuse for security First Response patrolman once in the 5 months I?ve been there. And not a single person came forth with any info, even though someone had to have seen something. Great trust and support there. I asked to purchase a garaged parking spot (for a whopping $90 extra/month) on Labor Day and STILL have not heard word back. Apparently they are "still researching availability," so I?m told.



Car alarms go off all night. Swarms of kids play in the parking lot unsupervised all day long. Parking is terrible. The maintenance team is friendly but unreliable at times.



The grounds may be pretty during the day, but it comes at a cost. There are grounds crews outside of my window early almost every morning mowing, blowing and cutting loudly.



Don?t be fooled by the cheap rates and the warm appearance. Just because it is next to a golf course does not mean that it is any better than any other cheap apartment complex. It just draws more thieves nearer to where the money is.
