When we first moved in, we were impressed and saw ourselves living there until we became homeowners. Then the management company and the office staff changed and the property went downhill fast.
You have to pay for a carport or garage if you want to park past 5 p.m. No big deal except that maintenance, staff and contractors frequently park in your spaces. Kinda defeats the purpose...
The wetlands used to be beautiful and peaceful, now they are all full of trash, toys, clothing, what not. Poor ducks.
We reported an ongoing security issue to the office about 20 min before closing one evening. We were told by a leasing agent that she needed to prepare to lock up and "didn't have time to deal with it, call apartment security." Apartment security wanted to know why we were calling when the office was still open.
We've had drunks and drug users banging on our door at the wee hours of the morning because they are lost or strung out and are looking for our neighbors. We've witnessed one man threaten to kill his "baby mama" for talking about his pit bull. We've reported, and reported, and reported the marijuana issues to the office. We finally called Mukilteo Police.
We know that it is an apartment and there will be some noise, however when a member of the office staff is throwing a party in their apartment, smoking weed, etc. that speaks VOLUMES about the integrity of the staff.
The property manager dresses like she's going on a hot date, cleavage hanging out and short short skirts, although I think she's trying to be fashionable. She flirts with the male prospective tenants, and you just have to laugh when she can't walk in her stilettos, ankles all over the place. I expect more professionalism, less of a teenage wannabe model.
Some of the maintenance is ok and prompt, however we had an issue with an appliance and after months of calling in the request, someone finally came out and left us instructions on how to do the repairs ourself.
We thought we were renting in an exclusive property, and then things changed with the new staff. It seems as though they are dramatically lowering their standards in order to meet occupancy numbers - hence the increase in crime, trash all over the complex, etc.
You're better off renting off Casino Rd. Same ghetto, just you will pay less and they make no false airs about their properties.

Glad to see we aren't the only ones unhappy. My lease is up in Oct. and I WILL NOT re-sign.
