I have lived here for a year now & can't wait until my lease is up.

Reasons:

1) The moving company across the street is noisy starting around 6-7am & randomly has trucks around at 2am. They park their semi-trucks on both sides of the street making it hard to drive by or pull out into the street from the driveway. Did I mention the beeping when they back up' I thought my alarm should be the only thing I hear beeping in the early morning!

2) There's MOLD in our apartment and in the storage rooms that are available to rent out. They make you sign a clause in your contract saying they will clean the mold, but they have only cleaned it once and it ALWAYS comes back.

3) Our car was broken into and also our other car was stolen. Our cars aren't that great either.

4) The "security" they claim to have is hardly around. In fact the people above us has parties on weekends and has screaming matches anywhere from 2-4am in the morning, but management won't do anything.

5) People flick their cigarettes butts onto the grass below, along with their dryer lint. BIG FIRE HAZARD!!!!

6) All the workout equipment is old and the tanning bed was broken for over a month.

7) The pool & hot tub are nasty sometimes. A green sticky film on top can be spotted on the surface if you look closely.

8) The pool lockers are rusted and there's been a dirty bra in one of them for month. The pool furniture is dirty.

9) From time to time a scary looking guy hangs out on the street out front.

10) The garages, which are $100 are shabby. They can be easily broken into, the doors are poor quality, the inside is hideous (no drywall, only ply boards), and good luck if you have a minivan or truck. We have a minivan and it is VERY difficult to get out.

11) Parking on the weekends are impossible.

12) The recycle & garbage areas overflow often.

13) There isn't any circulation in the apartments, so summer is pure hell. It's great for winter but unbearable during summer.

14) Sometimes on Sundays, even though there is "secured entry", expect to be woken up by Johavah's witness at 9-10am knocking on your door for 2-3 (or even 5 minutes on time). So if Sunday is your day off and the only rest day you have, don't count on it. Sometimes, they get kicked out fast and it really depends on what building you're in. Maybe my building is just crazy.

15) There are only 2 exits to get out of the complex right next to each other, so the people from buildings 4-7 have to go through the speed bumps all the time.

16) Did I mention the stairs' UGH! No elevator. Good luck moving you stuff in if you are on the 2nd or 4th floor!!!

17) Having a sliding glass door sucks instead of a window because living on the first floor, you have no privacy especially on the west side of the buildings. You can easily hear people talking as they walk by while you're sleeping.


THE STAFF IS AWESOME and if it weren't for them, I would have sold my lease to someone else. I accepted the fact that I signed a 1 year lease and I just wanted to say that this isn't all that it's made out to be. The price isn't worth it. My friend's apartment in Southcenter is better even though the neighborhood is low income.

Just wanted to express my observations and I'm sure some people love it here, but I expect more for $865 a month for a small one bedroom.
