I have been a resident at Newport Crossing for just about a year now and would like to address the opinion of another resident from July. I speak with the office regularly and find the personnel friendly and upbeat, even when faced with tough situations. Although our community suffered an unfortunate incident, I find it extremely rude to hand out false information. The man that killed the Newcastle police officer was NOT a resident. He was indeed visiting his wife (ex). If some people would just read their lease they will find that if you are visiting a resident here, you have to be here 14 days to be considered an illegal resident. Since the man was only out of jail for 11 days, there would be no way to constitute him as such. I love living here, the maintenance is great and it is a very cozy place to live. Remember that crime has no address!
