Not a nice place to live at all...

I actually only lived in Newport Crossing for about 3 months (I was living with 2 other people) and then I moved out, basically because of all the unresolved issues with the apartment. First of all, we moved into a dirty apartment. It looked as if the last person had moved out and we came right in and nothing had been cleaned. There was still stuff in the cabinets and random garbage and stuff. 2 out of the 4 kitchen drawers are broken and a maintenance person came to fix one of them and then took one of them to glue back together and we still haven't seen it back yet. Ok so the 2 worst problems with this apartment that aren't getting fixed are 1 - The kitchen sink leaks underneath right into the cabinet and I am not just talking about a little leak, this is major water that leaks out of the cabinet and all over the kitchen floor. I am sure it is somewhat of an easy fix, something needs to be tightened or something and we tried to fix it but were not successful so now we just keep a big bowl down there to catch the water, but it has to be emptied quite often. Number 2 is really disgusting. I don't know what the deal is but almost every day the bathroom has this horrible smell....like raw sewage or something and then sometimes you will go into the bathroom and want to take a shower and there will be some nasty residue in the tub because there had obviously been some sort of brown (don't even want to know what it is) liquid that came up the drain and stained the tub. Ewww. Everything is always breaking, these apartments look very nice at first glance, but most things are very cheaply made. The door handle even came off the front door! For a little while we had no door handle and so there was a hole in the door where the handle was supposed to be so we had to stick a washcloth in it to plug up the hole, oh yeah and we also had to take the door handle with us so that we could get back in the apartment when we came back home....it was kind of funny at the time but very annoying. We ended up being able to put the handle back on the door but it is still broken and we have to be very careful not to pull it off when we go in and out. Ok....I have ranted enough and made my point I think.
