I recently moved out of Rock Creek Ridge primarily due to a very high cost place of living. The rent for the standard/basic 2 bedroom was $1300 a month, which I thought was not worth the price. This place has their own electric/water/trash utilities (Tanner Electric and ConService) which I believe there's a certain amount of price gouging involved. Heating these places alone is a financial nightmare and is not very effective. I spent the entire winter season freezing my tail off. Poor insulation and cheap craftmanship. I heard every noise my neighbors were making. The garage is great if you have 1 car, but a little inconvenient if you have 2 cars. The garage runs verticle, which means you need to pull out the car in the back before pulling out the car in the front. Pet deposits are too extensive ($500 per pet), so I decided to not get a pet. The staff was very helpful at first, but it seemed like most of the times they were too busy or distracted to help you. Didn't make me feel very welcome. Many people drive fast in through the townhouses and parking is a big problem. I had to navigate my way to the garage many times like driving through a maze with all the vehicles parked in front or near other garages. Very congested. The place does look very nice on the outside, but impractical inside. Bathrooms are all upstairs and the cable tv outlets were in the most inappropriate places. Not a very good floor plan. Seemed very safe and clean. I don't think I'd move back there.

Dear Ex-Tenant...
I don't understand why people never put their name on these things??? It's not like they can get in trouble or something. Okay, off the soapbox, Thank you for your review that seems very heartfelt and honest.
I would point out and respond to a couple of items: 1) the rent for a two bedroom, two bath 1277 square foot 3 story townhome with an attached two car garage is not only cheap for the area, but an excellent overall value in all of the apartment industry in the eastside of WA. We are lower than all of our competitors by more than $50/mo. 2) Tanner Electric is in no way affiliated with Rock Creek Ridge, they are the local Electric Company and are actually a privately run cooperative. 3) Conservice is a billing company contracted by Rock Creek to bill residents for water, sewer and trash. The city of North Bend bills these services at $12.39 Water, $52.00 Sewer, $15 Trash. We bill them at $9.39 water, $48.00 Sewer and $12 trash in affect subsidizing $10/mo of your personal bill.
I live at the community in a three bedroom townhome and found no problems "freezing my tail off" this past winter. As with any home, the more square footage, the more cost to heat. Although some credit should be given to Tanner for a rate of only $0.07 per kilowatt, one of the lowest in the puget sound area.
Lastly I would defend the pet deposit and fees totalling $500 which again is not any different than competitive communities. However, at Rock Creek Ridge we have yet to meet a pet that has a job or allowance and therefore do not charge pet rent...saving you $25-35/mo over our competitors!

Move to Snoqualmie- which is what we did! We moved into a 1460 square foot home for $1100/month (no pet deposit for our little kitties) and shockingly (sigh) the utilities were significantly less (even after running our gas fireplace and hot tub all winter). Tanner ended up giving us a refund check after we called and complained that the useages on our unit could not possibly be accurate, which ended up being true. Enjoy the money you will be saving in your next home.
