I have read several reviews, some good and some not good. I have to say I have been here for 3 years now. I had 2 large dogs at one point, and had to put one down due to age in internal illness, and the management sent me flowers. How many places take a personal interest in their tenants that way' I have seen management and maintenance, employees come and go here, and right now they have the best management and maintenance people here I have encountered by far. They address issues quickly and professionally. They allow large dogs without an outrageous pet fee, all they ask is that you pick up after your pet' How hard is that' I figure it is like changing a diaper, you don't leave that laying around do you' All in all I would like to thank the Abalone staff for all their help, and thoughtfullness. Sorry, pal, arrangements or not, 3-day notices are manditory if one expects to survive in the apartment industry. I have nothing to do with Abalon, but have been in property mgmnt for a long time and could have retired if I got $5 for every time some one promised to pay rent and then didn't. Good for April, she knows what's she's doing.

I've been a tenant for 40 years. In NY state, they have to give 30 days, not 3, and it's not putting them out of business. Also for one person to mislead another on something as important as whether they can stay in their home, is vicious. If the tenant was told upfront that the 5 days was unacceptable and would lead to eviction, she might have been able to arrange an emergency personal loan from someone. No one likes to call on these sorts of favors if they don't absolutely have to, so it's natural to try to make an arrangement w/ mgmt first. I'm thanking my stars right now that I never rented from you. Jerks like you need to experience firsthand getting thrown out on the street w/ nowhere to go and no money because your apt. deposit was stolen. You are a miserable excuse for a human being.
