Unlawful entry

I am a tenant and have only been here approximately 3 months and now am forced to break my lease and move out (my choice) When I first moved in I loved it, the people are nice and it is a very friendly environment. However, in the last three months I have occupied my apartment, management authorized entry into my apt. uninvited because someone can call and tell them they are concerned because I don't answer the cell phone for one day. Now anyone in there right mind knows that if you have a cell phone you may be out of the area or in a meeting, whatever, it does not every give a manager or anyone else to enter my apt. uninvited. I drive a green Caravan, so if my van isn't here than neither am I. It would be different if I didn't pay the rent, but I have always paid my rent on time and I am a quiet person, just my cats and I. I was very angry when this happened twice in three months and like I told management, I don't feel safe because that means anyone can just walk in my apt. A tenant has the right to not answer the phone and also if I don't want to answer the door, it is my business as well. I pay $685.00 a month and it cost me $2400.00 before I could even move in so I do feel that I should have some consideration in this matter. This is a definite violation of privacy and would really like some input of what other people think.

Who went in? Were you home when they did? Or are you just speculating that someone went in the house? I think you just don't like the fact that the management has keys. I'm guessing with the size of the deposit you had to pay, this isn't the first lease you've chosen to break.

I find it very hard to believe what you are saying the only way they can go in is with a work order, or with a police officer. I know this because my nieghbor was gone one time for a week and she had cats I was conserned that she may have not left enough food out for them, since I had not seen her. If you have someone pranking the police to have management come in, then get it delt with. They are only doing there job

Unlawful entry----WHAT. This would be called a welfare check. What that means is if someone has a concern the management would enter your apartment with a witness to make sure that you are ok. Some people would be appreciative that management does this. They don't know if you are diabetic, hurt, unconcous, or hell dead for that matter. I geuss if you were in one of these situations you would probably think differantly, but I think you are jumping the gun. Just shows what kind of person you are or what you have to hide.
