We lived at Apple Park in first a one bedroom then requested to transfer to a two bedroom (an upgrade). We were told that we would be given 3 days to move as a courtesy. on the day we moved to the two bedroom, at lease signing, we were charged a $100.00 "transfer fee" which was not legal. We were also charged at both apartments for the three day "courtesy". We had to complain to the regional management to get our 100. back. In our new apartment which was not shown to us ahead of time because it was being repaired, cigar smoke from the apartment below us waifed up through the heating vents in the wall. The smoke problem was so bad that it fogged the mirrors in our apartment, stunk up our clothes, hair and even the towels under our bathroom sink. We had maintenance out 4 times to correct the problem. We were finally told that because the interior walls are not insulated, there was nothing they could do. They suggested that we ask the downstairs neighbors to quit (right). They told us we could move to a similar 2bd, but had none available at the time. They were to notify us when one became available. Over the next few months many people moved in and out, no word from management. We finally moved. We gave 45 days notice, they stated they rented it long after we moved and attempted to charge us for a partial months rent, but someones personal items were visible on the apt balcony days BEFORE they said they rented it. (the balconies are clearly visible from the public park next door) A few months after we moved out, we recieved an email from Apple Park entitled "A/P Backup" This email included present and past tenant info including social security numbers, names of children, new addresses and amounts people pay and owe. When notified, management insisted it was "just an error" However, they did not notify these people that their personal info had been inadvertently sent out. How would you feel' DO NOT LIVE HERE
