I lived here in 2001 - moved in a few weeks before the Nisqually quake. We had a few cracks after the quake. Nothing structural - just cosmetic. I was asked if we could not worry about them, as the handymen had their hands full with structural problems. I didn't care, so that was fine. When we moved out, we got charged for those repairs!! Unfortunately, we moved out on a Sunday, so nobody was available to do a walk-thru with us. That was an $800 mistake!! They charged us for so much stuff that wasn't true - and didn't have any receipts to back it up. We didn't pay the bill for a few years, since they couldn't provide any pictures or receipts for what they claim to have done. Unfortunately, we tried to rent a house in 2005 - and could only move in if we took care of the bill to Bellwether. So we paid it. I'd strongly STRONGLY suggest to any current tenants - do your walk thru, take pictures of the place when you move out, and be CERTAIN that maintanence fixes any tiny little thing (no matter how small or stupid it seems) before you vacate the apartment. And if you get stuck with a bill that you know you don't owe... take THEM to court to resolve. Bellwether won't take you to court if they know they can't prove it. aLKeoXpj3s4OSgrp1trb

Do you think the present management staff gives a damn about their tenants? It's all about filling the apt's, collecting the rent, and producing the shaft when one departs. This is the way the big boy's want it though as the manager has remained despite many allegations with proofs. By the way, I experienced similar move out screwings but not as much as yours.
