My daughter and I lived at Black Lake for 4 years and wouldn't go back. Parking, to say the least, sucks. According to the management of the time they didn't have enough parking spaces to accomodate 1 per apartment. I paid for covered parking and ended up feeling like a prisoner in my own apartment after 5pm. If I left after getting home from work my covered spot was 99.9% of the time taken and I would have to drive around and find a place to park. I would leave notes on the car windshields and even went so far as to call the tow company but was told that they couldn't tow the car until management agreed to it and it was over 24 hours. Then why have the signs up over the covered parking if they weren't going to enforce their own rules.

Each time my lease would come up for renewal they raised my rent. Upon move out I believe I got back $12.00 of a $500 deposit. Our apartment was very clean and I even spent 3 days prior to move out recleaning it. But alas, the final inspection came back as the whole place needed cleaning. What a joke!

You can also hear what your neighbors are doing upstairs so beware your noise level. Although the apartments were adequate I wouldn't rent there again.
