I lived at BL for a year and a half in 2 different apartments. The first one a 2bdrm 1 bath, was nice...large grassy area out back, then needed more space and moved into a 3/2 apartment in the same complex. I thought everything was great until my daughter was born. I noticed things that were not right. Such as Mold growing underneath my bed and up the walls. In the master bathroom, there was a small leak under the sink that they fixed but the moisture was still a problem and, like any person, I put things under the sink...big mistake. When I was moving out and moved those things there was more black mold underneath my things in the cabinet and also on the back of one of my own storage cabinets. When I told Management about the mold and asked if I would be charged for it, even showed them pictures they told me that I would not be charged and what did I expect, I lived in WA. If I was sitting on the floor, you sit there long enough and your back side would be wet when you stand up. Obvious moisture problems with these apartments. I also had a dog while I lived there, put down a deposit and sure enough, I move out and was sent a bill for $1300!! Not only were they charging me to paint the entire place but also to replace the carpeting. There were no permanent stains, no wholes in the carpet, ridiculous!!! They told me that anyone who lived there more than 18 months, the fee for painting was waived, otherwise you were charged for painting. It isn't in the lease but they say there is a document that states that....I didn't see it, still haven't seen it after requesting it, and didn't sign anything that said that. They cut down all the trees and I had fire ants in my bathroom and kitchen. They rebuilt the balconies because of a 'structural error''' now anything you have will get soaked when it rains which makes it pointless to even have a patio/balcony when you can't use it in wet weather. They are putting over 1 million dollars in cosmetic repairs and skipping the interior maintenance. Even my dishwasher was growing black and orange mold on the inside of it and maintenance wouldn't do anything about it either. The washing machine was bad and ruined some of my clothes, it would burn and tear clothing in the spin cycle even when it was a very small load. Then indoor pool will mess up you sense of smell and taste, because of the excess chemicals used. All in all, I will never return nor recommend that anyone put themselves through that type of living conditions. There was also a break in across the street from me and management fixed the window, immediately, their maintenance guys never noticed the broken glass on the sidewalk in there many ventures around the complex in their new golf cart. Also, trash is included...but only if you walk it or drive it down to the 1 compactor that smells horrible and is always full. Never again!!! Save yourself from misery!!
