First of all I think some people on here are extremley rude. Especially those who try to give it a good rating but end up saying extremley inmature comments about those that didn't have a good rental time here. They only seem to come across as mean and cruel and I for one hope to never run into them. I have lived here for almost a year and I'll give my experience about a three over all.
The things that I have not enjoyed are the apartments themselves mostly. I have had repeated problems with doors, blinds, appliances, toilets, and just older cheap interiors. While the maintenance staff is always quick to respond and try to fix thing and very nice, I think that there just isn't the money they would like to have to be able to really fix/replace things as needed. However this is apartment life right' I have given up calling in work orders and have just tried to deal with them because I know its not there fault but more any money issue...at least I hope thats it! We wanted to get a small dog but you have to pay a huge deposit which I could understand if the apartment was in really good shape but come on, I dont think a small dog could make this apartment any worse! I also wish the area around my home was landscaped as nice as the other areas. We go on walks and there are some really pretty areas on the property, but for some reason we seem to be lacking any attractive plants here, so thats a bit of a bummer. There are no exterior night lights for the townhomes, So if you want to be able to see your door or just feeling safer not being in pitch black, its at your own electrical expense. I used to have an issue with parking and party noise but over the last year those people have moved out so its become much more enjoyable.
The things I really like are my neighbors. We are lucky enough to be surround by some great familys who have some great kids for my kids to play with. So they really enjoy living here. There is also a very sweet older couple who seem to actually enjoy having the neighbor kids around. I also love the big windows that help to keep our home cheerful and bright. We live next to one of the two ponds wich is beautiful to look at all year round. And a big plus is that water/sewer and garbage is included with the rent.
I have read other issues on this site regarding the office staff. I have chosen to deal with one staff member (who is also one of my great neighbors). I have delt with others in the office and can understand why people would give them a poor review. Plus I dont really understand not trying to keep residents by like offering any incentives to stay. This is the first apartment that I've lived in that didn't offer like a carpet cleaning or half off of your carport/garage rental for a month to sign a new lease. Well at least thats what I was told by the manager, at the time. I'm not sure if its of there choosing are a higher up issue, but I think its kinda of rude. But I do give a big thumbs up to Leslie who is always very friendly and helpful. Its very frustrating when the staff is aware of problems/issues but just dont want to address them. They give all there attention and care to those looking to rent, but once your in they treat like second class. When my lease is up we will be leaving, I know (from others)that its going to be a problem dealing with the managers when it comes to charges at move out but I'll be ready to fight!
