I've live at Cambridge and I've worked at several property mangament firms, so I knew before hand to be very detailed when filling out a Move-In inspection, I even take pictures and submit copies of them with my inspection form to ensure that when I move out everything will go smoothly.
I also know that people always say "that was there when I moved in I just didn't think to list it" and you know that there wasn't a hole in the door or burns on the carpet. Fair and equal housing laws say that if you don't charge one person you can't charge any in the same circumstance, one rule has to apply to all, and believe me the management team hates having to charge items at move out and having unhappy people yelling and threating and slandering them, it's the hardest part of the job and it's why I don't do Property Management any longer-so keep all that in mind whenever you are renting-Sarah Brand
