When I first moved here the complex was nearly empty because the (then) new management threw out all the trash. The Landlord, however, didn't like how little $$ was coming in and hired a totally different management company-Prime Locations. I personally will NEVER live in another complex managed by them, & here's why. While I did not really have much trouble with the first Prime Locations manager (except the constant noise, speeding cars, drug and gang activity on grounds, excessively loud car stereos, constant police patrols [just WHO are they looking for all the time'], and the constant inappropriate behavior and harassment of neighbors), the new management is a dismal failure. The grounds are continually filthy (read: trash accumulation around dumpster areas and the compacter); poor lighting and overgrown bushes make for a serious resident safty hazard; no clean-up of parking lots or common areas; no cleaning of the outside of the buildings(we were told this would happen when it rained--only then they couldn't use the lift because of the rain-soaked ground); and last but not in any way least the manager is still apparently in high school. Or at least she sure ACTS like she is. She continually talks about residents behind their backs and is extremely indifferent to their basic needs and reqirements. I have found the current administration to be very hostile. The office itself is hardly ever open at the posted times--good luck paying your rent on time!! The only time you can count on the office actually being open at the posted times are when the assistant manager is working--she seems to be the only one here taking her job, and the public relations side of it, seriously. When I have reported a problem to the manager, nothing happens. I watched as more and more parking lot, sidewalk, and building lights went out. It wasn't until I was reporting yet another crime to the police and could NOT give them the vehicle description (aside from light and dark cars) or a description of the parties involved that anything was done. I have lived at these apartments for years, but this is the first time I have seriously considered moving....and then did so. Into a SECURE and FRIENDLY place. Iloved my apartment at Fern Ridge Place. Yes, there were problems, but the friendliness and professionalism of the former management staff more than made up for it. But I would NEVER recommend this complex, or any Prime Locations managed property, to anyone- not even to people I can't stand.

I have never had any of these problems since moving in July of 2003. I love it here, have never seen any gang or drug activity, and most of the neighbors are wonderful! I do however agree that there are too many loud car stereos during the day AND the night. I like living here, and will continue to stay!
