I never lived here, but I had a few friends who did, because they were cheap, and since most of the crap apartments are way overpriced, they couldn't afford anything else. The couple times I visited my friends in these apartments, I was GLAD that I did not live there...The roofs were flat, which in Washington State is a DUMB idea. The carpets were an ugly, outdated brown color, that were filthy (and my friends were very clean people), there was mold on the walls, and they were just very dirty nasty apartments. The city of Olympia ended up having to take the owner to court because he wouldn't fix anything. This went on for about 2 years..he promised to fix them, and he wouldn't...they would drag him back into court, etc...Then he said he didn't have the money to fix any of the problems. Oh..he also wasn't allowed to rent out any empty apartments until the problems were fixed, but he kept renting them anyway. Well, he was awarded the slumlord of the year in 2001, I believe. FINALLY the city shut the apartments down, and they helped the tenants find new places to live. They also had to help them financially because most of these poor people did not have the money to move...that's why they stayed in these dumps for so long...they had no choice. That's what makes me the most mad about the owner...he was basically stealing money from people who couldn't afford to move away from there and he knew it! Apparently someone else owns it and supposedly they are fixing them up. But my advice to anyone out there, especially if you're not familiar with the area, is to inspect them THOROUGHLY before ever THINKING about moving in once they are "ready" for habitation. Just to make sure that whoever owns them now didn't just do "bandaid fixes".

They were completely redone, I doubt that there is anything left from the old apartments. They're actually higher-end apartments now.

So...you must be the new owners?
