Don't Live Here!

I lived there for a very short period of time, and only one of the office ladies was nice. The other one was extremely rude. The doors in the apartment didn't close well, you can hear EVERYTHING (walls are paper thin) you don't get cell phone reception, the blinds are cheap, and an extreme bug problem. You also have to have a parking pass and they tell you that you have to have your guests park in guest parking which is way far away from your apartment and that they will tow any cars that don't have a permit. But then one night I came home and there was no parking, and do you think they towed any of those cars away' Nope. Overall I would tell you to save your money and go elsewhere. I would never recommend this place, nor would I ever live here again!

Please, you really can't attribute cell phone problems to the apartment complex. There are deer around that will eat your plants. They were the only bugs I noticed.

If you're an evergreen student, this is a great alternative to the dorms. It is clean, quiet, and secluded. Yes, you need a parking pass, but when I lived here anyone who parked in front of my building who did not have a permit was towed within 24 hours. The carpentry was a little off, but it didn't make for a horrible experience. I never noticed an insect problem, but I was living on the second story.

Most of what this review is saying is true. I've lived here for years. I like it, but it does have its problems. The insect problem *outdoors* is really, really bad, but that's because we're in the middle of a forest. My door does need a little extra push to close, but I've gotten used to it. The cellphone reception is virtually non-existant, the blinds are cheap, and the walls are extremely thin. As for the staff, they've always been super nice to me, but I have heard plenty of complaints from friends and neighbors who had different experiences. Bottom line: While this review is more or less accurate, I would personally still recommend Rock Maple, and here's why: If you're a student at Evergreen and you want a place to live that's close by, Rock Maple is the best option out here. Cooper's Glen is a bit cheaper, but it's an absolute dump! And the dorms are pretty bad, too. Rock Maple definitely has its problems, but at least for me they've never amounted to anything more than an occasional minor nuissance.

You know what, everyone has different experiences. I personally didn't have a great one, and the things that are important to me in a place I live weren't present here. Such as MY *inside* bug problem, and also the living room was extremely tiny. The only reason I came here was because of the price, and I would never again choose price over location. I am now living in the center of town on the westside and I absolutely love it. All I was trying to do is explain my view so that otehr people could see what my experience was and then they can make their decision. There is no reason for any of you to discredit what I am saying when you didn't have the same experience.
