The good thing (singular) about this apartment building is that it's pretty much in the heart of beautiful downtown Olympia. That's pretty much it. The staff is off-site at the other place they run, Fern Ridge, an apartment complex which they seem to care much more about. They've never been necessarily rude, but they pretty much seem to care less about this place. I've talked with numerous tenants here who agree. The only times I've ever seen them here is to pick up the rent and for inspections. Otherwise they could care less. Like I said, they're never overtly rude, but you can just tell when people are just smiling through their teeth. It seems like every other month there is some sort of inspection at the crack of dawn that you have to deal with and if you can't be at home they'll just come in. The trash/"recycle" situation is a nightmare; an unlit alleyway. The ear-piercing fire alarm goes off about once a month if not more which takes forever to be turned off and the whole block pretty much gets blocked off. They have these terrible air "fresheners" that smell like bug spray in all the stairwells. The noise is terrible; it's like the walls/floors/ceilings are made of paper. Every month or so some idiot smashes holes in the walls which they, like idiots, just patch up instead of being proactive about it and installing cameras or something because they just don't care. All of these things I can grin and bear, but the attitude of the staff is so condescending and obnoxious that I try as best as I can to never have to deal with them at all.
