Stay away from this area!!!

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
During my 8 month lease, SWAT had the entire complex on lockdown twice. Once, for a group of young teenagers beating and robbing a man and the other time for a police officer being shot with a ball bearing while sitting in his patrol car out on the main street while there was some construction going on and the suspect running into the complex. And when I say SWAT, I mean the whole nine yards, men in full body armor, large armored trucks, helicopters with snipers. Pretty scary stuff.
On two separate occasions my truck window was bashed out and valuables totaling 500 dollars the first time and 200 dollars the second time, were stolen. Not including the cost of replacing my truck's window. On both occasions, the office staff was not helpful or considerate in the matter, and explained to me the local police "knew of the crime problem".
The last incident, that made me buy out of my lease early (yes, buy out, even considering the circumstances, the management was not willing to cut me a deal) was when I was awoken at 2:30 in the morning to noises at my bottom level bedroom window.
Someone had successfully cut completely through the screen and was working on prying open the window when I was lucky enough to wake up and startle them away.
When I explained to the office I no longer felt safe as a single female living alone, having had my truck burglarized twice and my apartment nearly broken into while in it, they told me if I broke my lease, they would take me to court and ruin my credit. The ladies at the office didn't even believe me about the break in, and I had to have the officer that responded to the call personally go down to the office and show them the police report to satisfy them. I had to deal with the management company, who at least allowed me to pay out the rest of my lease with no repercussion.
It was a crappy, dull, loud, ugly place to live. Add rude, uncaring and inconsiderate staff members, and believe me, you do not want to live at Cobble Court. Especially if you are a single female or have children.
This is the second time I have written this statement, as the managers keep having it removed. Which is silly, because the SWAT incidents were all over the news, and all of the break-ins were documented with Pacific Police Department. It just goes to show you how starved they are for renters.
