It's okay for an Apartment Complex

I know Apartment living can be ruff and you feel like you are losing some privacy, but Cobble Court isn't to bad. I'm not 100% impressed with the place. There are a few concerns. The biggest on the list is parking. If you don't want to monthly for a spot then there is the option for free spaces...(they're free for a reason)It really feels like you're rubbing elbows with the other cars and there are dings and scrapes on my car that weren't there before I moved to Cobble Court. It's an older car so I don't mind, but for owners with nice cars you might want to consider paying for a designated spot. It's also difficult to find a space after 9pm on a weekend.
Another concern is the Waste management. This is a large complex and there is only one Compactor. If you're unit is on the opposite side of the complex then you may need to load up your car with waste and tote to the compactor. Eww! The compactor also at times gets full and garbage piles up by the door. The smell is disgusting and I truly feel sorry for the tenants next to it. It's also a place where people will dump old furniture that won't fit in the compactor. Management did clean it up when I made a complaint.
Management is quick at responding to complaints, but you really need to pick you're battles. Petty things can become more of a hassle so I just focus on the big things. Which are dealt with promptly. Neighbors are polite and mostly keep to themselves with minimal noise and animal smell.
If you like to cook the fans in the kitchen just recirculate air, there is no actual ventilation for smoke or steam to escape so open a window before you attempt to cook a large meal.
There is a large maintenance crew that fix things promptly, but not always efficiently. It may take a few tries to get things working again.
Rent seems like the average going rate for this space, but it is going up.
