Mariners Glen was my first apartment I had lived in for about two years. I have lived in other places since and I found that it truly is a beautiful, well kept community. The grounds and amenities are well maintained and were to my satisfaction. I enjoyed seeing the ladies in the office, they were always warm hearted and welcoming and never made me feel uncomfortable. Thoughs of you that leave nasty comments about this community must have standards that are beyond resonable for apartment living! Every community has its ups and its downs. You WILL have neighbors who go to and from work or animals even if you, yourself don't like or have any. Also, if you dont want mold, CRACK YOUR WINDOWS or run the ceiling fans- they're there for a reason! So whats to blame' The staff' Or just maybe - HUMIDITY! Mold is caused by YOUR neglect. They didn't come into your home, put it there and leave without fixing it so MY RECOMMENDATION would be to MAINTAIN YOUR APARTMENT that YOU are responsible for and TALK TO THEM if you get these problems not the internet!!! My home never had these problems but then again, IM CLEANLY! It isn't difficult if you take 5 minutes and devote it to your one, two or even three bedroom APARTMENT!! It seems rash for multiple people to come onto a website to rant and rave about problems that they can resolve easily or that half the time they don't even speak with the office staff to get the item fixed. Mariners Glens' biggest problem is keeping the hot tubs up and running. Complain about that, or even the lack of lighting in the community. Whatever it may be- Make it reasonable. I know that my problems were tended to as they were noted- and I WAS A RESIDENT HERE FOR TWO YEARS!!! Call them, let them know of your concerns and they will be able to succeed at their jobs!
Take care!

Well can you explain a faulty fireplace that has smoke that fills your apartment from neighbors when they use their fireplace, and the vent was closed, the staff were well aware of this problem and never fixed it, and what about when your heater brakes and they tell you they will get to it when they can, and this happened to me and i lived there 2 1/2 years and i was one of the nicer tenants and i even let that slide until i got a call one day that the key my apartment was lost, please... please explain to me how its possible to even lose someone's key to their residence, their home, you know the place someone lays their head at night thinking they and there little babies are safe, until you can explain these things, keep your positivity to YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!! that apartment complex has a lot of issues that are serious and they need to work them out before they get fined!

FINED? You try to say it with power and it comes out as weak. Give these people a break. Everyone has a story, a problem and for some reason every one is the worst, most horrifying of them all, right? I'm with you THOUGHTLESS, why would a landlord go onto a site with a false story of what happened to the keys. It's a great sign that the manager came on here, clarifying what happened to your keys, knowing all the while who you are and what REALLY happened. C'mon, Get real!

I may not have lived here for 2 years yet, but I have had a lot of dealings with the office staff and maintenance staff and I have to say that they have never been less than nice, friendly and ready to help. Any time I have ever asked anything of them, however small it was they were there right away to help. I think if your going to bash a place you should do so by sticking to actual facts and not feelings. Just because you might be overly sensitive about a simple lost key when a new lock can easily be put on there immediately, others who understand things happen sometimes might not be so interested in such petty things.

We were thinking about moving here but now I just don't know. I guess I really just have to investigate and maybe talk to some of the tenants. Hope all goes well.

Do not question your move to Mariners Glen. These petty complaints are far from true and possibly posted by hypochondriacs or hyper-sensitive people that are bitter no matter how well things go for them. I know from personal experience, this complex is quiet, beautiful and the very few items that stalled or quit working were taken care of in a timely manner! I enjoy my life here and would recommend the community to anyone who is looking for a real place to call home. Thanks to Mariners Glen, I get to enjoy a ton of amenities with my grandchildren who love it here. So for those of you to give it a chance, welcome home. You'll LOVE it!
Goodluck in your search, hope this helps!

Thank you for your comments. My husband and I will be signing a lease in a few days and it's good to hear the pros and cons. Personally, I side with Long Time Resident. I am coming from owning my own home to an apartment just so I don't have to worry about fixing anything anymore! I realize how many things can go wrong in a place and my feeling - if you don't want mold, don't live in Washington state.
I am sure the repairs are done much quicker than I was able to owning my home because I don't have to wait to have the money.
With the number of apartments my husband and I saw, vs the number of complaints here - I am looking forward to our move. I have grandchildren I will be able to entertain and let run because they won't be near a busy street. There are wonderful play areas at Mariners Glen.
I appreciate the words of those who weren't happy with them but you just can't please all the people all the time.
