I would like to comment on the review that was dated 3/21/08. I will have to highly disagree about the people who work in the office. I strongly believe they are friendly and know what they are doing. The only person who should not be there is Johnnie, the so-called Resident Manager. She doesnt do anything valuable with her time on the property, if she is ever there. I rarely see her working or being present in the time of need. I dont believe she does anything to earn her money, and believe Reeder Management is wasting their time and money on her.
Back to the issue on hand, I have to agree that mold is an issue, but lets face it people, we live in Washington. you could buy a new house and have mold problems.
The people who write these reviews about Orchard on the Green being "horrible" probably got into trouble while they stayed there. These 20-day notices arent sent to people just for the hell of it. Face it, you have that rule of 3 strikes and your out. And before you even get your first strike, you recieve like 3 warnings. So come on and do the math, you really have to be doing something wrong in order to get into trouble. Maybe it was the issue of not paying rent...Please NOTHING IS FREE! You dont pay your rent, you will get what you deserve. And the only way to get even with the apartment complex is to write bad reviews.
This is an apartment community and they have guildlines that should be followed, so if people would just follow all the rules and regulations, everything would be fine.
I would recommend Orchard on the Green.

You cant you stop crime itself. Its not the apartment complex, its the people who do it. When you signed the lease, it clearly states that security will not be provided, after hours. Again it comes to PEOPLE being the irresponsible individuals. Crime happens everywhere, no matter where you are. Everyone is vulnerable and I do apologize what happened to you, but personally your ways of securing your things possibly didnt work. Having all three instances happen to you is highly unlikely unless you flaunt all your things to SHOW people who commit crime what you have. Best of luck next time securing your personal belongings but again crime happens everywhere, not just orchard on the green.

Thats great following rules and regulations but what about crime?car break-ins? burglaries? you forgot about those. I personally have had all 3 happen to me in that apartment complex. I followed the rules, others did not.

Princ355_C..........obviously a staff member of the apt. complex. Your tone even suggests it. I'm sure you'll deny it, but, you wont change my mind about that. Even your attitude concerning crime leans towards the attitude/personality of an apt. staff member.
Yes, by law, you are not responsible as an apt. complex to do anything to run off the criminals other than provide doors that lock. But, in the end, it gets around if you have crime in the area. I lived in Tacoma and can tell you, certain complexes are targeted WAY MORE than others.
The one's that are targeted are those that have apathetic management. Criminals know which complexes bother having cameras/security and which dont. They also know which complexes persue conviction once someone is caught.
Those that are apathetic, even though they are not, as the letter of the law states, responsible.........will get bit in the end for being lazy on the crime issue. Sites like this and word of mouth will get the message out that you cant/dont care to protect your property. People like myself, who investigate a place for such issues wont come to you.
This place has already lost me as a potential client. Thats 12 months worth of rent down the drain because, well.............you cant be bothered worrying about crime.
