Military members beware. When a coworker and I moved in here, we were both very excited to be moving off base. We had no idea what we were in store for. Storage rental, garage unit: Broken for 11 months now, and does not seem as if it will be able to be opened in time for the move-out. Initially reported to the maintenance person the same week that the lock became stuck shut, but this notice "wasn't enough". Apartment management was informed, "but not the right way, it has to be in writing". Written notice was given, but it wasn't "the right form". The right form was requested from another office employee, but she didn't know what it was, apparently, and it was recommended we come back. Verbal notice was given within the week requested for military termination of lease; no mention was made of written notice until after the 7 day period was up, and selective memory on the part of the management ensued. There is a month-to-month fee of 100$ that was not mentioned until the second month, at which point the management left an eviction notice on the door. "Well you didn't pay last month's", which is true, because we had no idea that they'd expected it. Much arguing ensued despite a promise to pay the month-to-month fee on the next paycheck. All of this, come to find out, is protected against in the Soldiers and Sailors relief act, which requires a court order to evict military members. The apartments look decent, and the location is fairly good. The management, however, is rotten to the core. Rent at your own risk, but I would highly advise against it. You will pay exponentially more than you expect.
