nice but with a noise problem

Management staff has turned over a few times in the 5 1/2 years I have stayed here, ranging from excellent to just satisfactory to the current very good. The maintenance supervisor has been here the entire time and is excellent. Very friendly and concerned, I have never had a problem with the management, but I would like them to actively address noise problems better. Occasionally I find the office is closed early and I am unable to pick up package deliveries.

The grounds are neat and pretty, and receive weekly maintenance. Lately, trash (fast-food, etc.) tossed from vehicles into the parking lot is becoming a problem, though usually it is picked up by the time I get home from work. This problem varies as the tenant base changes.

I find the construction between levels is flimsy and allows you to hear the units above and below you all too well. This varies from tolerable with quiet neighbors to completely unacceptable. Currently, my upstairs neighbors are very heavy footed (boots), up early in the morning (3:30AM), and are amorous multiple times in any 24 hour period. I do not get much sleep at all. I?ve had light bulbs burn out from the ceiling shaking so much. A coworker of mine moved out of this apartment complex for noise reasons. I have met other tenants at the office who are there addressing noise problems also. The usual solution offered is to relocate to a top level unit. I will be moving out soon, both because of the noise and a change in employment. Your experience here would vary based on your neighbors. Avoid the one bedroom units with the bedroom adjacent to the building entry door (hallway noise) and the bedroom window facing the parking lot (double paned but not enough for diesel pickup trucks).

Parking varies with occupancy levels. Sometimes there are enough spots, and sometimes there are not. More than once, vehicles have parked in the roadway overnight. This is mostly a problem for tenants who get home late at night and were unable to rent a garage or carport.

An unexpected benefit is the local power distribution at this location. While much of the Kitsap Peninsula loses power for hours or even days from winter storms, my interuptions (blackouts) have been limited to usually a minute or two. I?ve never been without power for more than 15 minutes.

My storage unit at this complex was burglarized, otherwise not much here in the way of crime. I moved my storage to a nearby facility with better security.
