Liberty Ridge is without a doubt the best apartment complex I've ever lived in. I ve spent many years here, and have lived in three different locations on the property, enjoying each location s views and other unique qualities.

One of the first things I noticed upon moving here was how kind and accommodating the staff was; especially the maintenance manager who is the hardest working, most conscientious person I've ever known. He takes very seriously every issue on the property, large and small, and addresses it in a timely manner. He does not simply do what is expected of him, but time and time again will go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that everything on the property meets his standards, to include the tenants' comfort and happiness. The office manager as well is very kind, accommodating, and concerned with the needs of the tenants. In all the time I ve lived here, I have never had a matter of my concern delayed for an unreasonable amount of time, but rather addressed immediately with a high degree of professionalism.

The complex is on a hill surrounded by trees, and is very quiet as it is fairly removed from immediate contact with businesses, although it is within minutes of downtown Poulsbo and other areas of town. It is conveniently located, in fact, as it is close to all major roads heading either east or west. The units themselves are very comfortable with vaulted ceilings in the upstairs units, fireplaces in all of them and lots of kitchen cabinet space.

One thing I enjoy about living at Liberty Ridge is its variety of tenants. I see everyone from senior citizens to young couples to single parents and military personnel. A playground is centrally located on the property creating a convenient and safe location for children to play, with three of the complex s buildings surrounding it. Parents can choose to live in one of these buildings, if available, so they will be in close proximity to their children at play.

Overall, I have been very happy here, and would recommend it highly to anyone who seeks a place to live in this area. I did extensive research on apartment complexes in the Puget Sound area prior to moving here in 1999, and for Kitsap County, Liberty Ridge definitely stood out among all others. I have never regretted choosing it as my home, and will miss it a lot when time comes for me to move.

Unfortunately my experience at Liberty Ridge was dismal, thus I cannot agree with this reviewer???s opinion of Liberty Ridge. When I first moved there in 1994, the manager, Laura, was excellent???leading the staff in a very professional and friendly manner. During my 11 years at LR, it was disappointing to see the property and staff deteriorate over time. When after 9 years, I moved from one location on the property to another, the state of the new apartment was appalling with most kitchen appliances damaged, and poorly installed and damaged bathroom and kitchen vinyl, among other things. Thus, I am curious about the glowing report by this reviewer. By her description of many years at LR and living in 3 different locations on the property, I believe I know who this reviewer is. This person is not only a tenant at LR, she also has been a long-time friend of the maintenance guy. She states: ???how kind and accommodating the staff was; ESPECIALLY THE MAINTENANCE MANAGER who is the hardest working, most conscientious person I've ever known.??? She also worked in the past as a painter at Liberty Ridge (that's how I met her). Because of this, I doubt this glowing review is unbiased. It is also curious that after many years living there, she is only now writing a LR review and does not appear to be moving. Why now? I wrote a review upon leaving LR almost 2 years ago. In that review, I described the poor state of the apartment I moved to after 9 years in the first one (wanted a top-floor apt.). In late 2005 I was shocked to learn that the maintenance supervisor guy and the assistant maintenance girl had entered my apartment without prior notice to me, which is against WA State Tenant/Landlord laws. Landlords are required to give at least two days written notice of intent to enter a tenant's residence. The apartment across from mine was vacant at the time so it was easy for them to sneak in undetected. I learned of this unauthorized entry to my apartment in a phone conversation with the previous manager when she accidentally let it slip that they had entered my apartment. After that, I always felt uneasy living there because I did not know if the maintenance guy might enter my apartment again without my knowledge. And when I later had a problem with the washing machine and a leaky refrigerator, it took the maintenance guy over 10 days to repair them! The above explains why I am very skeptical of this person???s new and very glowing review of Liberty Ridge.
