I have lived at North Campus Heights for a few years now. Before I make some complaints I would like to say that this is a very nice complex for the price. I do not have much money and I dont think you could find nicer apartments for the cost, and if you walk into the office you will walk into a very friendly and helpful atmosphere. Now for the complaints. I will admit that I was glad to see the most previous manager leave as she was very very dishonest vulgar and plain rude, and the new manager is a step up as she is a lot more friendly, but I too think she is dishonest. It seems to be you will get promised things that more than likely will not happen, and it seems there are obviously some tenants that are her "favorites" and are allowed to do lots of things other tenants are not. It also seems she only likes to hire her friends as employees because i have heard of a few applying that were more than qualified but never got passed the interview and then i see people she is always with working there within a few days. You can never reach her, it seems she does not like to return calls and she is hardly ever in the office. The Assistant Manager is always in there but sometimes you just want to talk to the actual manager but I guess she has better things to do and they must run out of things daily as she is apparently "always out" getting stuff for the maintenance crew, who themselves seem to always be busy doing things that never seem to get done right. I also believe the grounds guys are either drunk or stoned all the time. I have never seen peoples eyes that red throughout an entire day, and come on those are the guys that us tenants see when we walk out of our apartments. On numerous occassions I have heard the manager screaming profanity at the top of her lungs at people. I guess she feels if she seems threatening that its better than actually trying to have a civilized conversation. I myself have been cussed at by her because of driving too fast through the parking lot, which i agree was very wrong of me, but if you watch her, she goes much faster through the parking lots than i have seen anyone go. I have also seen her many times in the past very drunk during supposed work hours. I wont even get started on the lady that helps out in the office, she is worse than horrible and will never tell you the right thing. The Assistant Manager is helpful but most of the time will not always let up on the rules, dont expect to get a break with him if you are even only 2 days late with rent, expect to pay late fees. Their pet policy is ridiculous, they say some breeds of dogs like pit bulls, etc are not allowed but yet if you walk through the complex you will see quite a few, it also happens to be her friends that own these "dogs that are not allowed". I have thought on many occassions to contact the company that manages these apartments but I have heard it does no good, and she will find out you complained about her and will make your life a living hell or try to find a way to evict you. I guess they would rather stay ignorant than actually do something about it. You would also not believe the scum that she has allowed to move in. It surprises me most of these people were able to pass background checks. My advice to those who are thinking to move in here is to not believe everything the manager tells you, she will say one thing and than do the opposite, and dont expect things to get done in a timely manner and most importantly keep your doors locked at all times!

I agree those apartments are a joke i know many people who live there who have a horrible time if they are not friends with the manager. Also if you are her friend you get to not pay the things other tentants pay LIKE PET DEPOSITS! I think it's a joke on what goes on there! The manager also lets residents ride ATV's and VERY VERY LOUD DIRT BIKES in the parking lots and the fire lanes! Also dont get on her bad side or her friends bad side because she does have keys and is able to get into your apartments and has been know to do so. So if you think about moving there make sure someone is home all times or get cameras for your apartments. And i really think the owner of the complex needs to run a higher standard background check on the people that our hired there. And for the last thing I would REALLY like to see the assistant manager take over since he seems to be the only one there most of the time and inforces the rules!!!! my opion is to stay away until they find a new manager!!!
