Close to campus

I lived at Providence Court for 1 year. As a transfer student, I was looking for somewhere quite, close to campus and somwhere with a dishwasher, I found it in the Providence Court Apartments.
The pros: The close proximity to campus. I walked to campus everyday, trudging up B street is not for the faint of heart, yet it was roughly 15 minutes from my apartment door to my classroom on campus. If you are unable to walk there is bus stop very close, with Express 2 and Express 3 coming through every 12 minutes. The apartments all have dishwashers (very nice) and small covered decks which are a haven in the warmer months. The laundry situation is excellent, with a high ratio of on site laundries to support the apartment population. The apartment complex is also located very close to Starbucks and Dissmores (grocery), which is a huge plus.
The Cons: Parking: it is often sparse and often difficult to find a spot close to your apartment. If you have friends or family visit overnight they are forced to park along the entrance street or somewhere else entirely since a car window sticker is required in order to avoid getting towed. Although, with the exception of game weekends, towing rarely occurs. During the winter months the sidewalks and parking area got very very slick and treacherous.
In general it is excellently maintained, really beautiful grounds. I enjoyed my time at Providence court, I highly recommend it, for the campus weary student, it is an ideal first off campus living experience.

Providence Court has to be one of the worst apartments I've ever lived it. Sure, it's close to campus and other things but management is horrible. They take advantage of college students thinking we wouldn't have previous rental experience. They rarely plow the parking lot. I even watched a ploy HIT A CAR and keep going! If something needs fixed they'll come fix it and then charge you for it! My pipes were leaking under my sink... obviously not my fault... and they tried to charge me $10. Whatever. They make exceptions for people they're friends with. The lady above me has a dog that runs around non stop and management refuses to do anything about it, saying that I just can't deal with apartment living. (I've had two before this!) Be careful when dealing with DABCO because they won't care about you!
