Opinions are relative

An opinion is relative to your previous experiences; where you've lived before, what you've seen before and how much rent you expect to pay for what you'd get. If you're currently living in a tent by the freeway, at a local soup kitchen, etc, then definitely give these apartments a look, because they will be an upgrade for you, but not by much. I've obviously lived in better, and believe me MUCH better exists out there, especially for the same or a cheaper price. The biggest problem with these apartments is insulation. The first sign of good times to come was when I heard a roaring rush of water through pipes followed by pipes rattling behind the wall, and finally the faint sounds of bubbles. Ohhhh, right, I got to hear that daily, because everyone has to use the toilet right, especially when its the weekend and neighbors are drinking; going to the bathroom every five minutes. Imagine being able to lightly tap on the walls and hear a completely hollow sound, and whatever is behind it rattle. Imagine being able to actually make out the song your neighbor is playing and sing along, yay! Imagine being able to hear things crystal clear like the beeping from your neighbor setting the cook time on their microwave, being in the bathroom and hearing your neighbor talking or in the act of doing business on the toilet, yay again! All this can be yours! And to top it off, since the apartment is embedded into a ditch, you'll enjoy struggling to get cell phone service. Security is one last thing to consider, next to the ghetto is another apartment community, the ultra ghetto where people stop by to do nighttime car theiving in this, relative to them, high end apartment community. Stay safe, don't waste your time, avoid the drama and all the issues; get your money's worth at one of the many many other comparably priced communities. 3mPoZ6gGN6wTPgNi4L2C

Compared to the other postings about Chestnut Hills you obviously are mad about something. By the way the freeway was there before the property was built. So you probably need your vision checked since you didn't see it when you CHOSE to live here. This complex is very well maintained and they have a great staff. Living in an apartment you do hear other people but you must have sat in silence in your apartment in order to hear all of this. Get a house. But make sure there is no upstairs or you might hear when you flush the toliet. I have lived here for many years and have never been happier. Of course owning my own home might bring quiet times, however, I realize that apartment living is affordable, there is no yardwork and I dont pay nearly as much as I would if I owned a house and had taxes, yardwork, repairs and utilities.

I agree with "opinions are relative"!!! I have had 2 incidents where things were stolen from my locked and armed vehicle! Besides the fact that I get to hear the people above me showing their love for eachother EVERY MORNING... who need a cup of coffee? Can't wait to move out of this dump!

I completely agree. I would be watching tv or be sleeping and get startled awake from how loud my neighbors activities were or from the noisy pipes in the walls. It sounds like a miniature tidal wave behind the wall, no joke. My car was messed with 4 times by people vandalizing the neighborhood too, so I know what you mean. The emblems were pryed off, my license plates were always being bent and my headlights were shot out once with a BB gun. The apartments next store to Chestnut are hideous too, it reminds me of a poor rundown tijuana village or something.

First, I agree with opinions are relative as well as the message the posting sends. To the first person who posted a response, jrhiggins, you sound like you work for chestnut hills, never seen someone get so defensive over a stupid apartment complex. Also you sound like an idiot, not sure why you brought up talk about the freeway when that has nothing to do with the poor cell phone service?
