I started out with totally different expectations in mind when leasing this apartment. I toured the apartment and fell in love with the floor plan. "Very" spacious. Never look for an apartment rushed. I should have known that the architecture of the door in master bedroom would be an issue. And I couldn't know about the train that makes noise all hours of the night,or the neighbors that come out on their porch and smoke and send their smoke up to my open window, and the the day care that souds starting before day break-but management certainly knew of some of these things. There are also the "goth wanderers" who come and sound like they make ungodly noises just for me at 2 and 3 in the a.m. And the insulation is horrible. In short, Equity Properties has some work it needs to do. I've only stayed at one for 6 months. And don't have plans of staying at another any time soon. At least without much consideration first.

Wow, these all sound like complaints specific to your management company. Yep, they do control the train, and the daycare next door (I used to live right next to it, very noisy, but the daycare's fault, not the apartment), they control the smoking habits of your neighbors too! Yeah, don't rent when you're rushed. Next time, take your sweet time and you can find a managment company that has control over everything you feel like complaining about. Let me know when you find one with foot-thick walls, we'll all move there with you!

"they control the smoking habits of your neighbors too!" Yeah, that's why management makes every tenant sign a notice they move in that says you acknowledge that smoking 'is not' allowed. As for the train... it's 2 miles away and everyone within 6 miles of the tracks can hear so there's no argument there.
