EXPECT TO PAY WHEN YOU MOVE IN OR OUT, MIN 1000, EACH TIME. PET DEPOSIT IS NOT APPLIED TO THE PET DAMAGE. I WAS FACED WITH A NON-RENEWAL AND FORCED TO MOVE WITH NO GOOD EXPLANATION AS TO WHY, EQUITY KEPT ALL OF MY DEPOSITS AND CREATED REASONS TO CHARGE ME 1000 MORE AFTER I MOVED , CLEANED AND GAVE NOTICE. STAFF IS DISRESPECTFULL AND DEMEANING TO THE POINT OF BEING COMBATIVE WHILE IN CLOSED DOORS.....IT IS APALLING A COMAPANY IS LISENCED TO BEHAVE IN THIS MANNER ON A REGULAY BASIS....
DO NOT RENT HERE, I WISH I READ THE BLOG BEFORE I SIGNED...OH AND EXPECT THE RENT TO INCREASE EVERY YEAR AND IF YOUR CRIDIT IS POOR EXPECT TO PAY MORE FOR RENT THAN YOUR NEIGHBORS. I PAID 840 FOR A 2/2 WHILE MY NEEIGHBOR PAID 1100 WITH A CHILD AND A HUSBAND, (I HAD A ROOMMATE)
THIS IS MODERN AGE ROBBERY AND BRAZEN DISREGAURD FOR FAIR AND EQUAL TREATMENT. I TOO WOULD LIVE IN A TENT AT WALMART AND BE HAPPIER AND PROBABLY TREATED BETTER.

Too bad they do not have a website that can put ratings on residents, because I imagine that you would not have a great rating. Pet deposits are not supposed to be put towards damage to the apartment. They are for the extra price of cleaning when you move out. From what you say, sounds to me like you were just a terrible resident. They can only charge you for damages that you actually did. Most communities will do whatever they can to get people to stay, so if they chose to not renew you they probably had a pretty good reason, or were looking out for the well being and happiness of other residents who were not causing problems.

Pet deposits are applied to damages, a pet fee which the Hamptons charges is not applied to any damages. It is a fee that is required to simply have the pet in the apartment. This was explained to me prior to leasing the apartment and then again when I signed the paperwork. It is a shame that people do not read their leases and understand what they will be paying for before they sign the paperwork. I do not know why they would choose not to renew you but from what I understand management is in the business of keeping apartments full and having someone their to pay rent...they must of had a good reason to ask you to leave.

The hamptons is absolutely the worst plac to live. Their is no expectation of safety since i have been here there has been numerous home invasions, people being robbed coming home to their apartment, break in to vehicles. maintenance is a joke and so is their so called security patrol. He or she probably never is around. If you are military...Please stay away..I can't move soon enough

After reading the other post from legit renters and NOT HAMPTONS STAFF, I can tell you with absolute confidence, find another place to rent! Avoid Equity Residential and find a peaceful landlord to rent from, one who has respect for you as a human and values your comfort. I am so glad I moved from there. I lost about 1850.00 when it was all said and done. I was mad a years ago when I had to move with mo explanation why....forced to pay for disgracefull managers and trash piled up outside my door for days at a time. Do yourself a favor and look for another place to live. You will regret signing a lease at the Hamptons in Puyallup...There are so many empty houses out there, call a real estate agent, or search craigslist but do not rent here.
