Extortion!

I've been living here for 5 years, and every year they have increased rent by 10-20%. Yes, that means that after 5 years my rent is double! I decided to go month to month after their latest "offer", since it simply didn't worth it, and guess what, they increased my rent again after only two months, and the latest offer is 40% higher than what I paid 3 months before. This is extortion. Every single one of our neighbours we talked to are going through this and can't wait to move. Last time they did this rent jack up 20% of the campus empties in a matter of months.
- Parking is an absoltue nightmare, I never find parking in front of my building if I get home after 7pm (which is ... every day). The entrance from 156th is always full, and the only place to park is 5 buildings away.
- We had three lights on one of the back alleys broken for more than two *years*, after we reported it they fixed one of the lights (which was laying on the ground with wires dangling while kids play in that area) but the lights still don't turn on at night.
- There landscaping is poor in some areas as it retains water and is always muddy (and every time the they mow that area they make a complete mess)
- Recently they painted the doors and stairs with some really cheap dark paint over the existing white paint and it scratches very easily, now most doors have white blotches. Contractor's fault though.
On the positive side:
- The maintenance crew has always been very prompt and fixed the problems inside the appartment.
- Neighbors are nice and quitet, never had any problems (many families and Microsoft employees)
