My family recently moved into one of the townhouses, and we absolutely love everything!

I was concerned about noise (some of the reviews aren't great). But this place is quieter than our last place in Issaquah! The townhouses are sheltered by the apartment building a bit, so I'm sure the street-facing apartments get the noise more. But for being a home in the middle of bus routes and right beside the fire station, I was shocked at how little noise there really is.

The floor plan is fantastic. The appliances are getting a little old, but the maintainence here is fantastic and they look at anything I ask them to. The interiors are beautiful, and our kitchen is huge with georgeous tile! And we never, never hear our neighbors; the walls are really sound proof.

The grounds are amazing: they are always kept up and clean. The community and office area is clean and attractive. The office staff is always as helpful as they can possibly be. The garage under the buildings is great and secure.

Only two minor complaints: the garbage and recycling systems need some work. The apartments have access to a garbage shoot and the townhomes have cans. But a lot of garbage ends up in the recycling (possibly not the residents as the recycling is outside the garage and open to anyone who walks by) and the recycling is never sorted (definately the residents) so I don't know how effective the plan is.

Also, and only in the townhouse that I know of, the windows do not open on the kitchen side of the house. So the only windows that open are on one side of the house: the side that faces the sun ALL DAY LONG. This is really a fault of architects everywhere, but boy do these places get hot in the summer. And there is absolutely no way to get air moving through them without opening the doors. I have pets, so that's not an option, and the houses do have ceiling fans. But the fans only circulate really hot air.

But I love, love, love the location! We love the property. If Avalon would sell these places, I would buy mine in a second!
