I lived in this apartment for over a year. When we moved out, we did an inspection of the apartment and every thing was in good condition. We got it endorsed by the apartment management community. After a week of leaving we got a bill of $428 for cleaning. We argued with the management that its too high, but one of the management staff "Angelia" started speaking nastily (despite my friendly behaviour) and refused to let me meet the manager.
Also the cleaning charges of $428 seemed to be too high, and I asked to produce individual bills, which they refused to provide. Ofcourse, there was no damage to any item in the apartment. The charges were $ 105 - general cleaning (very high), $ 150 ( They said it costed $300 for carpet cleaning - of which they charged only 1/2 from us, absolutely lie because for carpet cleaning - the rates in this area are $40-70 for a two bedroom apartment), $200 ( wall painting, actual charges $400, 1/2 charged from us - and there were on scratch on the wall)
If you want to avoid unnecessary charges while moving out, avoid these apartments. I have known our neighbour was charged $700 for cleaning with no damages).
