My husband and I had nothing but problems when we lived here, and the problems continuted after we moved out. We hadn't even lived at Ravenswood for two weeks when our hot water went out. It was labor day weekend, but we still shouldn't have had to go 3 days without hot water! We were told that if we wanted a hot shower we could walk to the Cabana to use the public ones. Later we had mold problems. We called the office for a week and still had no one out to look at it. It wasn't until we gave written notice (which meant they had to respond within 10 days or we could move out) that they did anything. We had to be out of the apartment for 4 days while they literaly tore out the walls. Never talk to the office staff! They are no help at all. You have to talk directly to a manager if you ever want anythig done. The maintenace guys are really great and helpful, so I don't blame them for the problems. I was part of a study that they did at the apartment. They wanted to know if residents were happy and less than 20% were. They did another study until they got the results that they wanted and thought that remodeling the apartments will make them more appealing. Once we finally did move out, we had problems getting our deposit. We got a letter saying that our check would be in the mail in a few days. After three weeks I had to call the complex to see what had happened. I was told that a new check would be sent, since I didn't get the first one. The next day the first one arrived in the mail. The first thing I did was call Ravenswood to let them know not to send a second check. A week later, the payment on the first check was canceled, and I recieved a fee on top of that. I am still talking with Ravenswood to figure out why this happened. If you're considering moving here, change your mind. The rent is way to expensive and the problems you will have are not worth it!
