Avalon: Worst apartment rental company EVER!

Do not move here or to any Avalon community if you can help it! Trust me. Management and staff are terrible and very unhelpful. They say your deposit is refundable when you move in and then charge you for carpet cleaning and wall paint when you move out which takes most of your deposit. I thought it was standard practive for an apartment to pay for a standard cleaning when a tentant moves out. Why am I responsible for the nail holes in the wall' Also, the washer and dryers in all the units are located outside on your deck whish is sweet when it get really cold and your laundry freezes! And if you need maintenance.....you can bet you will wait when it is conveinant for them to get to your needs. This usually ends up being a 48 - 72 hour wait. Just please avoid living here and any other Avalon apartments at all costs!!! SROlYjGrgm2VnM-SactV

The maintenance staff is awesome. Don't believe this person. Visit the place and get your own opinion. The only people that write on here are people that want to complain because they were filthy and are getting charged for being that way.

The avalon staff and management is the worst not to mention their old apartments and appliances. After moving out and consulting some other residents who moved out we saw a pattern that they were trying to charge everyone who moves out for carpet and painting. Now most of the residents who were charged extra are filing a lawsuit against Avalonbay communities. Also, Avalonbay communities has already lost lawsuits for charging extra moveout fees and damages in other USA states. So if you have been affected or wrongly charged just wait for the good news.
