I personally had a very bad experience in the Onyx apartments.
To start with their customer service is horrible.
While most apartments provide a 24 hour maintenance fix, onyx on the other hand took around 3 days to respond to our request to fix the water heater.
The management changes very frequently and the recent one that came around April 2009 (not sure about the month) has a very rude leasing office staff.
They offer referral policies stating to offer 500$.
I referred a friend but did not get the referral amount.
We were given the first one month off with the option to split 1st months rent across the year which reduced our rent per month. However when the new management came in they told us we owe them the original rent since we had already taken the first month as free which we had not.
We had to call them atleast a dozen times and go personally 2 times and bear with their rude staff till they finally checked their accounts and realized it was their mistake.
The main problem that I have faced in this apartment is that the leasing office service is very bad and they are very unprofessinal
