Decent complex, intrusive maintainence, bad parking, escalating rent

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2007
The units and the grounds are reasonable well maintained. The driveway is a bit steep and they don't do a good job of clearing it when snow falls. This makes it difficult to get in or out. I have had to leave my car and walk to my apartment.
While maintenance is regular, not much thought is given to minimizing the inconvenience to unit dwellers.
Parking is quite problematic late in the evening.
Rents in my experience tend to escalate quickly at each renewal. Their philosophy seems to be one of getting you in the apartment and then charging the max at renewal time.
Finally, there is high employee turnover so interactions are highly impersonal.
On the plus side, they made buying a house seem much more affordable.
