Avalon at Bear Creek had been a great place to rent within Redmond. A bit expensive but better than other communities in the same price range.

Good: The apartments are in a fairly decent condition and relatively new

Bad: Maintainence has been slack. They seem to be operating on a reduced staff than about a year ago. Service requests often involve delays.

If one of the amenities you like is the Business Center they offer, its nearly non-functional. The machines are overrun by all sorts of spyware & perhaps even viruses. Applications run verrrry slowly and the printer is constantly out of toner.

The decline is most stark when you look at garbage collection. It seems they have increased the amount collected for this but garbage accumulates for days before it is collected. If you are considering it now, take a trip to the garbage sites.

Finding a parking spot late at night is a significant problem.

Finally, they seem to have become quite pushy about forcing the tenants to acquire rental insurance. This includes verbal directions and flyers promoting particular insurance interests.
