My husband's company transferred us here so this was our temp house assignment. Although, the company will pay for 3 months living expenses, we were ready to move by the first day. Unfortunately, we're stuck here for a week until our new apartment is ready for us to move in.

Anyway, we're staying in a 2 bd./2 bath apt. here. It's on the first floor and is an end unit. The size of the apartment is spacious and the appliances, carpet, etc. are fine. Even though we're on the first floor, we're still able to get a lot of sunlight. At first glance, the place looks pretty nice, not rundown and dark like many other places.

Unfortunately, those are the only good points about the place. First of all, safety was an issue. The front door consist of a full window and it only has a little lock that even I can pick. Secondly, the walls are paper thin. Our neighbors aren't noisy people at all. But, you can hear them sneeze! No kidding! You'll hear everything...a toilet flushing sounds like a waterfall, when they vacuum, it sounds like you're being steamrollered. Get the idea'

The last and final problem is THE BUGS!!! We've identified beetles, pill bugs, earwigs, and spiders so far. They're EVERYWHERE in the apartment. Even if they came in and vaccuumed them all up, they'll still come in. Every night, we have what we call a "bug crossing". We'll see at least 10 bugs coming in from under the front door and walking across the apartment. I'll say it again, they're EVERYWHERE!!! By the fireplace, on every wall, in the kitchen, on the ceiling, you name it, they're there. Somehow, they get in from other places other than the front door, too. (and we keep our windows shut at all times)

We've been here a week and have not unpacked a thing. Plus, we keep our suitcases zipped up to avoid any stowaways. Can't wait to get out and move into our new apartment.

So, only live here if you're lonely and seek the company of bugs and you like to hear everything your neighbors are doing and you don't own anything worth stealing.
