Bad move-out experience

If Bon Terra is still telling Microsoft employees that they waive the "refunded deposit", don't believe it.
They'll collect it eventually by charging upwards of $250 in move-out fees.
Then if you don't pay it immediately they'll refer you to a collection agency which messes up your credit.
How they get away with doing this is beyond me.
Is there a mandatory waiting period before businesses can report that you're delinquent on a payment' I don't know.
I liked my experience living there, but the way they treat former residents is reprehensible.
