Construction is Kleenex-and-spit quality. If you like to hear your neighbor using the toilet in the morning, you'll feel right at home.

Gutters/downspouts on some buildings and garages are damaged or even disconnected, but are never fixed.

Contractor used non-standard/surplus electrical outlets--plugs don't fit tightly in the wall, which causes arcing. Appliances using the outlets don't always work properly, and can present a fire hazard.

Entryway doors are all spring-loaded, so imagine the joy of listening to neighbors allowing the doors to slam at all hours of the day.

Parking is often a premium since management allows more than two cars per unit and there are no assigned spaces. If you routinely arrive home late from work prepare to hunt for a spot, and hike to your apartment.

A large playground area was contructed in the central courtyard area of a number of apartment buildings, rather than more to the edge of the complex. This produces a wonderful echo that accentuates the screams of apparently unsupervised children at play--up to 10 p.m. on nice summer evenings. Be prepared to turn your TV up if you want to hear it.
