My husband and I lived in one of the townhouses. This so-called "luxury" apartment had great views, but that's about all you can say for it. On most sunny days it got very hot because of the large windows which got afternoon sun. If you are a non-smoker and your neighbor smokes you will either bake or enjoy their second-hand smoke. One of our neighbors smoked on her balcony and in her doorway and the smoke went right into our apartment -- we could never shut the sliding glass door and windows fast enough. The parking situation was ridiculous. As far as we could determine there was no guest parking, and it wasn't like there was exactly any street parking nearby, either.

For a "luxury" apartment that place had the absolute worst appliances. We had to run the dishwasher when we were out of the apartment, because it sounded like a train was running through the place. Speaking of noise, this is the only place I have ever lived where I could hear people using the toilet (and I mean everything) in the next apartment. We could also hear conversations next door and our neighbor's alarm clock pretty well (our neighbors used to hit their snooze button for about an hour in the morning -- too bad if we were trying to sleep in). We could also hear the elephants pounding around next door at all hours and rattling some mystery thing that was apparently attached to the wall. The carpet was not in good condition when we moved in. We were sure they would change it when we moved out, but they didn't -- how did we know' Because we got an extra charge for what they called "damage" (removing some gum they say -- neither of us chewed any gum and never mind spit it out on the floor) but what should be ordinary wear and tear.

The worst thing about this place we didn't find out until several months into our lease -- there's a home for juvenile sex offenders next door. And we have a little girl. And when we asked them about it, they didn't seem to think this was a problem. Nice.

So if you like paying top dollar for heat, possible second-hand smoke, second-rate appliances, not having any company, hearing the soap operas next door and your neighbors' bodily functions, and living next door to juvenile sex offenders this is the place for you.
