Benson Downs Apartments

Terrible parking. From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 11/22/2004 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004   I have lived in the complex for 2 years. @ years too long but oh well. Management is ok, but they are disorganized and at one time even rented my parking spot out to a second person... nice huh' Parking is terrible. I don't think that there is 1 uncovered spot in the complex per apt. And this complex is 1st-come 1st-serve, not assigned parking unless you pay for a carport ($25 per month) or a garage ($100 per month'). I lived there 2-3 weeks before I got so frustrated with parking that I bought a spot. If you plan on having guests over its best to find an empty uncovered spot before they get there and park your car there so they can take your covered spot... if you paid for one. There are cars that sit in uncovered spots and never have moved. Some not in 2 years have moved. Sounds like they need to "clean up". The garbage/recycle drop off is rather inconvenient for about 75% of the complex, some people in the back of the complex might be over 1/4 mile away. This place is touted as a nice secure gated community. Well I dont remember the last time the gates worked. Its been at least 6 months or longer. The neighbors in this place seem to think that running from the front of the apt to the rear of the apt is fine, no matter if its 7am or 1:30am.... People seem to think that if you yell across the parking lot at 2am on a tuesday night it won't matter since they can't hear you... you can't hear them either.. right'' Uh huh. Out of everywhere I have lived this place has the most car alarms tripped per night of the lot. I am awakened by random car alarms on a nightly basis.... somehow though my car alarm has NEVER been tripped in my 2 years living here. Strange. And of course management isnt able to or willing to do anything about afterhours people noise or car alarms sounding. Its not the worst place out there but its definitely not the nicest.
