This was the first place my girlfriend and I lived together. At that point, our criteria were basically price and distance from Seattle. It's about 20-30 minutes from Seattle (mostly traffic on Coal Creek Pkwy), and the rent is quite cheap.
There are no on-site incentives like a pool or anything. It IS right next to both QFC & Safeway, great Chinese restaurant, and a Papa Murphys.
The buildings are all concrete and not much sound insulation. On the bright side, I think we only had to turn on the heater once or twice during our time there - it stays warm year round from the surrounding apartments (which is nice in winter and sucks in summer). No view worth speaking of unless you like watching traffic.
Parking is basic, poorly lit, and has no security of any kind. One reserved spot per apartment, everyone else parks in the "general" lot out back (20 spots).
The apartment itself was basic, but livable. Don't expect too much in the way of appliances (I do recommend paying extra for washer/dryer though!).
Good points: Near food, cheap, it's not your parent's house. Entirely possible to get your whole security deposit back.
Bad points: Little security, basic living, traffic to 405 sucks, no on-site amenities.

To sum this place up....when we moved out, the guy checking us out commented that we'd stayed there longer than anyone else he'd worked with - we only stayed 2 years. It's a good "first apartment" place, and will teach you all the things to look for in your second apartment, and all the things you don't want. =)
