Do Not Live Here! I Repeat - Do Not Live Here!!!

Marina Landing is a good example of a middle-income housing complex that looks wholesome and pristine from the outside, but once you move in, it s very easy to spot its weakness and flaws immediately. My experience with them has been a terrible one right from the beginning. As soon as they mentioned that I would be giving in a $500 non-refundable deposit (which eventually will not go to any cleaning or repairs after you move out. It simply goes into their pocket), I knew that I was getting myself into something that would eventually hurt me in the end.
The staff is quick to blame the tenant when it comes to dealing with problems and refuse to change their ways or look at themselves in a critical manner. -------and -- are condescending and quiet rude when it comes to dealing with tenants one on one.
Within the first month of moving in, my bathroom door was falling off, my dishwasher broke and my smoke alarm wasn t working! It s obvious they use cheap materials and labor and charge an incredibly high rent on top of that.
The swimming pool is only available in summer for about 3 months of the year. Whereas when I looked at other complexes, they actually had their pool indoors so it would be available 24/7. In addition to one months rent, you will be paying for water, for electricity, for gas and for sewer and garbage! So what I want to know is, where does my rent money go' I was paying about $400 a month extra for those!
Compared to Seattle, the city of Renton, is shabby and really depressing. Marina Landing likes to advertise that it lives in a wonderful city, but Renton is known for being a dangerous and extremely boring place to live at. The quality of life seems to dip down by several points when compared to its sister cities, Redmond and Seattle.
In the mornings there is terrible traffic right outside the apartment and can be a real bother when trying to get onto the freeway. During the summer hours, the traffic is beyond ridiculous.
I honestly feel that living at Marina Landing would be good if you have a lot of money and want to retire there. But if you re young and looking for a fun place to live then run away like the wind!
I have lived in many different complexes before ranging from a luxury condo to a simple studio, and I have never come across such a farce as Marina Landing. They are a --ke and an embarrassment and will do whatever they can to take as much money as they can from you. After moving out, they have taken my entire $1000 deposit and are asking me for $900 to change their carpet! There is a nonrefundable $500 fee that will go into no repair or cleaning charges at all it simply goes right into their pockets.
I really really really recommend not living here at all. I wouldn t even let my worst enemy live here that s how much of a bad experience I had. Seattle is close and a much nicer place to live. If you re looking for bad customer service, a depressing overly expensive place to live, then by all means, make a home here. But just be prepared to dip into your savings as soon as you move in, because they will suck the life out of you when they can. Their business tactics are obviously shady and honestly, pure evil. There are much better complexes just next to Marina Landing, and I really wish I had lived somewhere there instead.
